So Just having more cops cruising around might actually lower crime rates a little. I always thought it was pretty useless, just driving around with nothing happening.
But this study says it can actually make a difference, especially for stuff like theft and violent crimes. That’s pretty cool even though it might be huge. Still every bit helps, right?
This makes me wonder though, is just adding more cops the best way to go? The article says they’re not sure how to do it for maximum impact. Maybe smarter patrol patterns or focusing on high crime areas would be even better?
