  1. This article covers the distribution of Apple air tags and tiles to residents in D.C. in response to the increase of car theft. This seems like the wrong way to go about combatting car theft. It will be interesting to see how this strategy works out. This could potentially lead to a decrease in car theft, but the tags are only distributed to the areas where the most car theft occurs. This could lead to car thieves simply moving to different areas to steal cars. It seems like this strategy could decrease car theft for a short amount of time until the individuals committing the crime figure out they only have to steal from a different area.
