Every day the scope of technology advances beyond what anyone is prepared for. In the United States, laws against cybercrimes are being developed constantly, yet many struggle to provide help. Despite trying to aid those affected by cybercrimes, the stipulations of the laws make it difficult to pursue criminal cases. In the case of sexual cybercrimes, many laws have stipulations regarding an “intent to harm,” which can be extremely difficult to prove. With this required intent, many fail to receive the justice they deserve despite lawmakers trying to do what they believe is right.
