The FBI has been investigating a hacking group that has been hacking casinos since 2021. Caesars Entertainment paid them a ransom of approximately 15 million dollars, in order to regain access to their own systems. It has been stated that they have connected multiple credible suspects to the crime, but no arrests have been made. In today’s society how do we protect ourselves against hackers? If the FBI is not making the necessary arrests how do we protect everyone? Is there a probable way to hold the FBI accountable? Or is it more logical to give the FBI slack and hope they have a bigger goal in mind that we have no knowledge of?
